Flash Mob Hits Flint for 2012 Countdown!

A Flash mob sparked Flint High Street today to mark one year to go till the London Olympic Games next year. A flash mob is a group of people of all ages, just getting up and performing a dance routine in random places. NEW Dance, a local based group, performed in Flint High Street and Flint Castle to celebrate the London 2012 Open Weekend.
Video footage of the group performing;
In Conway, visitors were able to take part in Medieval Games, in Caernarfon Castle there was a Kaleidoscope Art Exhibition based on children’s designs and in Anglesey there was the Launch of Following the Flame art exhibition that will be covering the country in the next year.
I cannot believe on Wednesday, it is exactly one year to go till the Olympic Games! The countdown well and truly begun.
Tomorrow, as I am a borderland inhabitant, I’m considering going across the border and seeing what our English Neighbors are up to, to celebrate the one year to go till the Games. I’ve had a look at the event finder on the official London 2012 website and I’m considering heading over to the Wirral (West Kirby) and trying out some water sports for a cheeky fiver, or go to a number of leisure centre’s and try a couple of classes for a pound! There is even a design your own 2012 t-shirt competition for the youngsters. There are even places where I could try handball and rugby sevens, which are Olympic Games!
I was a bit gutted about the lack of activities in North Wales as all the hype, as usual, has been sent to the south and as usual, if you’re from North Wales, you have to travel to England to experience the Hype! Our nearest screen is in Manchester, which is a bit of a trek for most Gogs (North Walian People). But as I am a BT Storyteller and proud, I am going to travel to try and let followers know what’s happening over the course of the weekend!
